Connectivity, Wi-Fi & Communications

Business internet and connectivity

For most of the organisations we serve, the internet connection is the single most consequential piece of infrastructure and the least often designed.

The failover question

If your clinical system, your payment terminals or your phones depend on one connection, then one backhoe ends your trading day. A second path is not a luxury in that situation; it is the cheapest continuity control available.

  • A genuinely diverse second service — different technology and, where possible, a different physical path. A second service over the same fibre to the same node is not failover
  • Automatic cutover tested, not a manual process someone has to remember at 7pm
  • Mobile broadband failover where fixed diversity is not available, which is common in regional areas
  • Priority for what matters — payments, clinical systems and voice ahead of guest Wi-Fi when you are running on the backup

Business-grade versus the cheapest plan

A residential-grade service and a business service can carry the same headline speed and behave completely differently when something breaks: fault response targets, contention, static addressing and the ability to escalate to a human all differ. For an organisation where an hour of downtime has a person on the other end of it, that difference is the entire value.

We hold the relationships with the carriers and manage the faults, which means your duty manager or practice manager is not the one on hold. Vendor coordination is part of NEVO, including for services we did not sell you.

Multi-site

For services running several sites, the design question is whether sites connect to each other, to a central system, or to the cloud — and what happens to each when one link fails. We design this deliberately rather than treating each site as an independent purchase.

Common questions

Are you a telco?

No. We specify, procure and manage connectivity and we hold the carrier escalation path. You keep the service contract; we deal with the faults.
