The organisation

St Andrews operates continuously. There is no overnight window in which systems can be unavailable, because care does not pause and a med round starts at 7:30am whether or not the network is up.

As Robyn Mortimer puts it, health is highly reliant on having systems working and working effectively — and for an organisation that cares for vulnerable people, that reliance is not an operational preference but a duty.

• A cyber security program asking whether the right applications are in place so the organisation is not carrying unmanaged risk

• Stayed involved through to the outcome on individual projects rather than closing at handover

The outcome

Robyn describes the cyber security work as one of the most important projects done for them, and its importance as becoming increasingly apparent — the value of being on the front foot being, by its nature, easiest to see in retrospect.

On the service itself: above what has been experienced anywhere else, in hours and outside them. And on the working relationship, with some affection — that ClubIT has become integrally involved in obtaining outcomes, sometimes more enthusiastically than the client is.
